"Sound and vibration are involved in every single aspect of our lives. Every breath, every second that our heart beats, all the noises of our external environment; it's all sound and vibration."

Nathan Thomas Martinez is a musician and sound therapist who has spent the past 25 years professionally performing and investigating the theory of music and how it works. Recognizing the healing quality of sound and its ability to cultivate better listening and empathy, he studied sound therapy at the Open Center with sound pioneer Sylvia Nakkach, sound healer John Beaulieu, and music therapist Ginger Clarkson, amongst others.

To commemorate the opening of Inner Fields, Nathan Thomas Martinez will be presenting a one hour sound meditation, providing a landscape for deep tranquility and a unification of inner and outer experience.  This special sitting will set the tone for Inner Fields as an artistic and experiential space for contemplation, presence of mind and community.

Previous meditation experience is not necessary and refreshments will be provided. Space will be very limited.

To attend the opening, please email Elaine Su-Hui at innerfieldsnyc@gmail.com
