We are excited to announce a new approach to our Reading Circle, starting October 27, 2020. Moving forward, we are now taking a deep dive into deliberately curated themes and topics, chosen for their responsiveness and relevance to our radically changing times.

Each gathering will draw on an excerpt from a different wisdom text, offering a multiplicity of voices through which to explore each theme at depth. Creative, embodied practices will also be integrated into every gathering.

All are welcome.

Texts and Dates:

10/27. The Fruitful Darkness by Roshi Joan Halifax. Destruction, creativity and radical ecology, with artist Elaine Su-Hui.

11/10. A Fierce Heart by Spring Washam. The groundlessness of transitions with multidisciplinary artist, art therapist and meditation teacher, paul singleton iii.

11/24. Thirdspace by Edward Soja. The spatiality of the margins and liminality as place, a space that is "radically open to additional otherness", with visual artist Naomi Kawanishi Reis.

12/8. Mind Beyond Death by Dzogchen Ponlop. The bardo of dreaming and meditations on emptiness, with Marshall Kupka-Moore.

All materials/ resources will be made available freely, and as usual all our gatherings are offered by dana (free will giving).
